Thank you for purchasing one of our D&G line of Halfwave Wire Dipole Antennas.
This antenna will have near omnidirectional high angle "cloud warming" radiation pattern if mounted 1/4 wavelength off the ground or less and will make a good rag chewing or net operation antenna. If mounted 1/2 wavelength off the ground, a lower angle broadside bidirectional radiation pattern will be had which is good for Dxing.
The G5RV is a very unique antenna and has been around for many years. If a few simple instructions are followed this antenna should "sing" on any band you want to use it on!! The first rule of thumb is that an antenna tuner is an ABSOLUTE necessity. This is because of the different SWR values that occur on different freqencies. Secondly by keeping the coax length to either 14,27,58,76 feet should keep any high voltage points away from the tuner end of your coax. These values are not "carved in stone". Each Qth is a little different but by adjustment of the coax length you should experience many wonderful hours of enjoyment with your new D&G Antenna!
We have a 30 days money back guarentee if unsatisfied with the product. However the product must be returned in like new condition. We also have a $5 restocking fee on all returned products. The buyer must pay all return shipping charges.

Thank you for purchasing one of our D&G line of Wire Doublet Antenna center insultors.
The attachment proceedure to your existing antenna is quite easy and should be accomplished in a a very short time.
The tools required are a soldering iron, wire strippers and a air of wire cutters. To begin with you must securely fasten the you antenna legs to the two oppsing eye bolts o the center insulator. This very important on the lower bands as the antenna becomes heavy beause of the weight o each antenna leg. Once this is accomplished be sure that you have left a sufficient amount of wire from the legs of the antenna to connect to the two pigtails that come from the center insulator. Slide the two pieces of heat shrink material over the ends of each pigtail. Cut both the pigtail and the antenna wire which has been fastened through the eye bolts ,making sure that you have left enough wire after the connection is made to have a good size drip loop. Now solder the two wire on each side of the center insulator. After the joint has cooled slide the heat shrink material over the conection and apply heat from a lighter or a match to it and shrink it over the connection. This completes the connection process. You are now ready to erect the antenna and "get on the band with your friends".

Due the projesteced use on 160 meters it is necessary to get the antenna up as high as possible

The first rule of thumb is that an antenna tuner is an ABSOLUTE necessity. This is because of the different SWR values that occur on different freqencies. Secondly by keeping the coax length to either 55,105,230,300 feet should keep any high voltage points away from the tuner end of your coax. These values are not "carved in stone",and bviously due to the lowest frequency to be used probably unrealistic. They are just meant to be a startig oint. Each Qth is a little different but by adjustment of the coax length you should experience many wonderful hours of enjoyment with your new D&G Antenna!
